With hearts full of gratitude, Light of the World invites you to join us in celebrating 50 years of God’s faithfulness! In 1975, a group of passionate young adults in New York’s Capital District experienced a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit, igniting a vision for a Spirit-filled community, vibrant worship, and missions. This milestone is an opportunity to come together, reflect on our rich history, worship in God’s presence, and dream boldly for the future.
Friday, October 17th at 6:00 pm – Catered Reunion Celebration
Kick off the weekend with delicious food and a warm reunion! We will thank the Lord and honor the many individuals and families who have shaped our journey as a church family and celebrate the countless ways God has moved in our hearts over the years. We will also announce our Reconciliation Pathways commitment, trusting God to bring healing and freedom to every heart.
Saturday, October 18th at 6:00 pm – Evening of Extended Worship
The presence of God has always been at the heart of this church. Let’s come expectant to encounter the Lord together! We are blessed to welcome Billy Humphrey, the director of GateCity Church, where they have hosted 24/7 worship and prayer since 2006, as our keynote speaker. His passion is in cultivating presence-centered, prayer-based church culture and his message is guaranteed to stir up love for Jesus in all of our hearts.
Sunday, October 19th at 10:00 am – Vision for the Future
Hear the inspiring vision for the next chapter of Light of the World. We will have a special moment of standing together and blessing the future of our church and region. We are trusting God for reconciliation, salvation of the lost, and His calling on our church to be fulfilled.
